Effect of Hemorrhagic hypoension on Transaminase Activities of Blood Thoracic Duct Lymph in Hemorr hagic shock

Abstract
The activities of transaminase in blood or serum is increased in a condition of cellular necrosis or change of cellular permeability and the elevation of the enzymes is proportioned to the extent and duration of cellular damage.
The present study was undertaken to evaluate the enzymatic response in blood and thoracic duct lymph to moderate degree of hemorrhagic hypotension maintained at the level of 60-70 mmHg for 4 hours.
The result showed no significant change of transaminase activities (GOT and GPT) in serum as well as in thoracic duct lymh and the marked elevation of the enzymatic activities following retransfusion was observed.
